KELEBIHAN BULAN ZULHIJJAH SEPULUH HARI PERTAMA.

Bulan Zulhijjah merupakan bulan dimana umat islam disyariatkan untuk mengerjakan ibadah haji. Kelebihan 10 hari pertama Zulhijjah tidak banyak dibicarakan sepertima mana 10 hari terkhir Ramadhan, sedangkan kelebihan dan kemulian 10 hari Zulhijjah dan Hari Arafah telah digambarkan dalam Al-Quran dan Hadith. Mari kita fahami akan kelebihan bulan Zulhijjah dan berusaha untuk beramal dalam 10 hari pertama ini, supaya kita mendapat balasan syurga daripada Allah

Di luar waktu sembahyang, kelihatan ada orang masuk ke dalam masjid.  Lalu seorang lelaki melihat anak berumur sepuluh tahun sedang mengerjakan solat dengan khusyuk. Lelaki itu menunggu sehingga anak itu selesai dari solatnya.

Dia menghampiri anak itu dan bertanya,“Nak siapakah anda?”

Anak kecil itu mengeleng-gelengkan kepalanya dan menitiskan airmata di pipinya.

Kemudian dia mengangkat kepalanya dan berkata, “ Saya anak yatim piatu, tuan.”

Hati lelaki itu tersentuh mendengarnya dan berkata,” Apakah anda mahu menjadi anakku?”

Anak kecil itu menjawab, “ Apakah jika aku lapar, anda mahu memberiku makan?”

Lelaki itu terdiam sebentar, kemudian menjawab, “ Ya”

I always wonder why is it that people on those days rarely have divorce? Even if some of them were mostly arranged marriage they never get a divorce no matter how bad their husband/wife to them?

Ok, here’s the thing. I just wonder. What happen to our society? Why is it that we have so many divorce rate these days. it could happen due to different reason. but one thing about love i don’t agree, love is not blind – people are.

Before, the only thing that matters (for a muslim) is just who the family is – a good background, how far is their knowledge on religion, and the last thing would be what they do for living while the dowry is only an Al Quran (until they started to use money to replace the ‘value’), the hantaran, enough if they could get some plates, furniture & basic needs for their house if they are lucky. Thats all.

Tergerak hatiku untuk merencanakan pandangan ini bertitik tolak kepada respons yang diterima semasa memungut sumbangan kepada pembinaan Cork Islamic Centre. Tidaklah aku ingin menyoal keikhlasan manusia jauh sekali merendahkan semangat yang ditunjukkan oleh ramai sahabat-sahabat dalam membantu merealisasikan impian ini.

Aku yakin bahawa semua muslim percaya akan kebaikan yang bakal diperoleh kepada hamba-Nya yang ikhlas dalam membantu mendirikan masjid. Sebagaimana hadith yang diriwayatkan oleh Imam Muslim yang berbunyi :’Barangsiapa yang mendirikan masjid, sesungguhnya Allah akan mendirikan rumah untuknya di Syurga’. Banyak lagi dalil naqli yang menceritakan kebaikan bersedeqah dan menginfaqkan harta ke jalan Allah yang kita ketahui

Sejarah yang Perlu Diketahui

Jika diimbau kembali sejarah masjid di Cork, komuniti muslim di Cork terpaksa berpindah masjid beberapa kali. Sejak aku berada di Cork pada tahun 2003, aku sudahpun bersembahyang di 3 masjid. Malah sebelum aku tiba di Cork, komuniti muslim di sini menggunakan rumah sebagai masjid termasuklah rumah di penjuru Riverview Estate yang telah dibakar dan diceroboh. Sebab utama perpindahan lokasi masjid adalah masalah tempat letak kereta. Samada jiran rumah atau gudang yang digunakan sebagai masjid sering kali mengadu tentang hal ini sehingga perpindahan terpaksa dilakukan.

The Cork Muslim Society Committee has been working on getting a proper mosque for the muslims in Cork. We have been changing places several times. Since I was 1st year, I have attended 3 places. It is the time for us to get a proper, permanent mosque for the benefit of all muslims in Cork.

The mosque committee has bought a place (formerly owned by Modern Plant ltd) at Tramore Road cost 1.3 million euro. The aim is to renovate the place to become as Islamic centre (similar to Clonskeagh)

However, renovation of place will require another 900 thousands euro. The mosque committee has succeeded to gain a loan of 400 thousands euro from a bank in Qatar. However, this will require 10,000 euro monthly payment to the bank. The payment will start on 1st november 2010.

At this point, there is an urgent need for every muslims in Cork and muslims surrounding to show our support of this mission. We have always wanted a proper mosque.

It is suggested for each and everyone of us to do a standing order to the Cork Muslim Society bank account. Donate as much as you can afford.
