Groupthink: Sepakat membawa berkat?

Group Think

‘MUAFAKAT MEMBAWA BERKAT’

“Buat apa beli susu low fat nih? Susu ni membazir je beli, baik beli susu full fat lepas tu tambah air, jadi la low fat” Nisa memberi cadangan separuh arahan.

The story of HOPE

My paediatric rotation was something to be remembered with great experiences to be treasured as a life lesson for the years ahead.

It was my first day for the hospital paediatric rotation that was very interesting. I followed my consultant for a ward round that morning and she was having 2 patients with 2 different stories of hopes.

The Hope of a Mother

We went to the first patient, who was a lovely 3 years old girl that was unlucky to be born with encephalocele, a type of neurotube defect due to the failure of the brain skull to develop properly. So physically you can see she has a big bulge at the back of her head due to the herniation and protruding of the brain tissue from the open skull.

Three Situations Commonly Encountered By Muslim Students Regarding Alcohol in UK Eire

This article is written so as to give guidances to the new students on how to deal when they inevitably encounter these issues regarding alcohol. I personally have experienced two of these situations.

SITUATION 1
Christmas is around the corner and your friends/colleagues left you with a bottle of wine as a Christmas present before you all left for Christmas holidays. What to do with the wine? Can you give it away to your other non muslim friends?

Mudahkah Bertaqwa?

Apakah perasaan sahabat-sahabat muslimin apabila diserukan agar bertaqwa dalam khutbah jumaat setiap minggu? Gentar? Takut? Bersemangat? Terus tidur? Tiada perasaan?

Assalamualaikum wbt.

Dear readers, for most of you, this is the first time you will read my article. In the future, i will be writing about a whole lot of things, mostly it will be totally random issues that kept playing in my head.

Today however, i want break about my usual format and talk to you about the subject of plans. Not so much about plans for my columns, more like life plans. How we all make them, and how we hope that our (future) kids make good, smart, safe plans of their own.

But to be really honest with ourselves, most of the time, our plans do not work out as we had hoped. So, instead of asking our young people what are your plans, what do you want to do with your life, maybe we should tell them this; plan to be surprised.

Anyway, i guess it will be appropriate for me to put a disclaimer to all my future columns, as i am an imperfect in nature, hence my writings will inevitably contain mistakes/weaknesses etcetra.

Disclaimer: The writings InshaAllah will represent the writer’s opinions/ideas/views etc. Not all entries will be originally from me. My intention is only to share what I believes is beneficial to the ummah. And, as always, opinions can change from time to time. Consider this the results from the accumulation of my experiences in life.

Again, as i have said earlier, i will be writing about anything that is keeping my head occupied, so my writings might contain lyrics from songs, quotes from random people, hadiths and excerpts from the Quran or it could be anything under the sun. Bear with me okay?

Till later, wassalam.

PENGKHIANATAN DAN PENIPUAN DALAM PEKERJAAN

Firman Allah S.W.T.:

(Maksud Surah al-Qasas (28): 26).

“Wahai orang-orang yang beriman! Janganlah kamu mengkhianati (amanah) Allah dan RasulNya dan (janganlah) kamu mengkhianati amanah-amanah kamu, sedang kamu mengetahui (salahnya).” (Maksud Surah al-Anfal (8):27)

“Maka sesiapa yang bertaubat sesudah dia melakukan kejahatan (curi) itu dan memperbaiki amal usahanya, maka sesungguhnya Allah menerima taubatnya; kerana Allah Maha Pengampun, lagi Maha Mengasihani.” (Maksud Surah al-Maidah (5):39).

How To Conquer The World

This is a story that my dad passed down to me, about a Shaykh and his student. I can’t remember the name by now since it was so long ago. But the important thing is not the name but the story. Its one of my fave story that I hold dearly since it will remind me of what life is all about. Here goes..

There was a Shaykh who have many students, one of the student came to him and ask who else can he learn from

So, the Shaykh ask him to go to this particular person living far far away. Given that time, there was no aeroplane for that student to simply book a ticket & fly. So he had to walk/ride a camel/any other means of land transportation to travel all the way, lets say from Morocco to one of the Arab countries.
