Pengenalan

Saya selalu melihat manusia. Itu memang adalah sikap seorang pengarang dan sikap saya sendiri. Melihat bukan usha, tetapi melihat dengan mata hati. Bukan bermaksud terpikat (aduh), tetapi maksudnya menafsir apa sahaja yang tersirat dari perlakuan.

Selalunya, apabila melihat kelebihan manusia saya akan lekas cemburu. Saya tak tahu apa reaksi sahabat sekalian melihat teman-teman yang memperolehi kelebihan berbanding kita. Acap kali pertanyaan berikut timbul: Adilkah Tuhan menjadikan dia lebih dan aku kurang? Kenapa dia hidup senang tak perlu bersusah payah? Kenapa – kenapa dan terus kenapa (bergantung kepada situasi yang akan kita ulas satu per satu di bawah).

Ah, kusut. Manusia memang kerap merungut. Itu memang sikap manusia, yang sukar sekali hendak bersyukur, seperti dalam ayat surah Al-aaraf ayat ke-10:

“Sesungguhnya Kami (Allah) telah menempatkan kamu sekelian di muka bumi dan Kami adakan bagimu di muka bumi (sumber/jalan) penghidupan. (Tetapi) amat sedikitlah kamu bersyukur”.

Jom kita lihat situasi demi situasi. Ini bukanlah semua situasi saya. Mungkin terilham daripada melihat papan tanda di jalan Oxford Road, melihat daun-daun berguguran di Whitwork Park, atau labah-labah kecil di dinding rumah (penulis sangat pelik, abaikan sumber inspirasi ini).

I was rummaging the library in my home until I came across this book:

Its about Ibn Batuta who is famously known for his experience when he was travelling. Though the book is written like reading a children story book, but I pretty much enjoyed being a kid again reading the story.

Want to know what is the story?

Well… Once upon a time,Ibn Batuta was busy preparing for his next travel, so as the day pass, he felt something missing but don’t know why & what is troubling him. Until one day, he notice that his shadow was missing. Imagine in the midday, you have no shadow (no not even when he look under his feet).

Suatu ketika dulu, surat berantai begitu banyak saya terima sehingga saya sendiri hairan bagaimana pengirim-pengirim menghantar ke alamat saya dan tahu nama saya semasa menghantar surat berantai

Mungkin pada ketika itu saya pernah memasuki ruangan sahabat di salah sebuah majalah di Malaysia. Jadi sepanjang saya bersahabat pena, memang selalu juga menerima surat berantai. Kecewa juga menerima surat berantai dan bukan sahabat handai yang saya nantikan balasan mereka.

Cuma kali pertama saya menerima surat berantai itu, satu sahaja di fikiran saya. Ini mesti konspirasi kedai-kedai fotostat di seluruh Malaysia untuk menguntungkan kedai mereka sehingga meminta semua orang membuat salinan hampir 20 – 40 salinan dan dihantar kesemua umat islam yang dikenali mereka dalam masa  beberapa hari bagi mengelakkan bencana menimpa.

thin rays of sunlight begin streaking out

bathing me with the warmth they generate

Up and about I brought myself

rubbing my rested glossy eyes

heated droplets of water rain down unto me

penetrating deep within

bringing out a refreshing energy

with wafts of vitalising fragrance

I always wonder why is it that people on those days rarely have divorce? Even if some of them were mostly arranged marriage they never get a divorce no matter how bad their husband/wife to them?

Ok, here’s the thing. I just wonder. What happen to our society? Why is it that we have so many divorce rate these days. it could happen due to different reason. but one thing about love i don’t agree, love is not blind – people are.

Before, the only thing that matters (for a muslim) is just who the family is – a good background, how far is their knowledge on religion, and the last thing would be what they do for living while the dowry is only an Al Quran (until they started to use money to replace the ‘value’), the hantaran, enough if they could get some plates, furniture & basic needs for their house if they are lucky. Thats all.

Salam again to everyone,

Sometimes, life can be hard and troublesome. Doing medicine with faltering enthusiasm and yet-to-achieve passion add up to all the sorrow within. Family support remains a distant source of motivation with only electronised voices to quench our missing part. Works upon works burden the shoulders that are already heavy. Hatred for the boredom of certain badly taught subjects bogging the mind down even further. Challenges after challenges have to be faced as the future is full of unknown consequences. Depressing environment and horrible days make you dread the coming ones.

Frustration over the system that regulates your life is even more distressing because you cannot just make a resolve and change it that very instant. Making things worse is the fact that the system is set up by only a bunch of gaunts lining up the upper echelons of our societies. Being a ‘nobody’, you need to climb up the stupid ladder of pre set degrees before having the power to change the appalling work of those buffoons.
