Ever wondered of what you would do after finishing tough final exam? If you were to ask me, during my time, I did not know what to do and I’m writing this note just to let you know that there are actually lots of thing you can do to kill your time before spreading your wings to come here.
Let’s start by making a check-list. Long break is not meant to be wasted..especially to those who are so used to fast paced and busy life, they will feel empty when they do not plan their time in free time, and end up wandering around not knowing what to do.
Imam Hassan Al Banna once reminded us that responsibilities are more than the time available. May Allah make us among those who take advantage of the time given and always remember Him in any situations.
I recommend you to join Wonderful Overseas Weekend (WOW) to fill your free time in the long holiday. Wonderful Overseas Weekend 2011 by its name wholly defines a gathering program to provide insight into the actual life abroad particularly for Muslim students leaving for countries like United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Czech Republic, United States, India and others starting September 2011.
As a participant in the very first WOW in 2008, I can guarantee that WOW would be a program that can prepare you to face the challenges as a Muslim in a country where Muslim is minority. This is the 4th WOW since it was first organized, and I believe that the program would be much more exciting and interesting this time around. Moreover, those who joined previous WOW now become the people who run this program, for they think it’s time for them to give the best to others, like Ustaz Hasrizal famous quote: ‘Erti Hidup Pada Memberi’.

Selepas ini, apa persiapan kita yang seterusnya?

The story of HOPE
My paediatric rotation was something to be remembered with great experiences to be treasured as a life lesson for the years ahead.
It was my first day for the hospital paediatric rotation that was very interesting. I followed my consultant for a ward round that morning and she was having 2 patients with 2 different stories of hopes.
The Hope of a Mother
We went to the first patient, who was a lovely 3 years old girl that was unlucky to be born with encephalocele, a type of neurotube defect due to the failure of the brain skull to develop properly. So physically you can see she has a big bulge at the back of her head due to the herniation and protruding of the brain tissue from the open skull.

Leadership : From the Story of Prophet Moses
I was very attracted to how John Maxwell form his book People Communicates, But Few Connects, in the conclusion he mentioned about the story of Prophet Moses and he developed his leadership skill. He mentioned the story of Moses from the Bible, and I searched the Quran for the description of the story of Moses. Here’s what he say.
One of the greatest leaders in human history was Prophet Moses. He led an entire nation of people and relocated them and everything they owned from one land to another. He presented them with a code of Laws. And he handed the baton to another leader who would settle them in their new home.
But Prophet Moses didn’t start out as a great leader. In fact, you can see that he had to grow in every area of his life to be successful.

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
Salam again to everyone,
Sometimes, life can be hard and troublesome. Doing medicine with faltering enthusiasm and yet-to-achieve passion add up to all the sorrow within. Family support remains a distant source of motivation with only electronised voices to quench our missing part. Works upon works burden the shoulders that are already heavy. Hatred for the boredom of certain badly taught subjects bogging the mind down even further. Challenges after challenges have to be faced as the future is full of unknown consequences. Depressing environment and horrible days make you dread the coming ones.
Frustration over the system that regulates your life is even more distressing because you cannot just make a resolve and change it that very instant. Making things worse is the fact that the system is set up by only a bunch of gaunts lining up the upper echelons of our societies. Being a ‘nobody’, you need to climb up the stupid ladder of pre set degrees before having the power to change the appalling work of those buffoons.

- This is a cloudy day, blocking the sun ray but it really seems like a poorly chosen picture because it is still beautiful. Ah, well, many angles to see it from as you will learn later on.
