Siapa Bear Grylls ni?

Beliau merupakan seorang penulis buku dan kebanyakan buku yang beliau hasilkan berkisar mengenai kisah hidupnya. Beliau sangat suka mengembara ke tempat-tempat yang adventurous , contohnya Gunung Everest dan Laut Antlantik.

Beliau ada menulis pengalamannya mendaki Gunung Everest dalam buku Facing Up. Ni dah jadi macam book review tapi harap-harap pembaca dapat mesej yang saya cuba sampaikan. Perjalanan beliau dalam menawan Gunung Everest merupakan suatu penceritaan yang sangat inspiring. Dari beliau kecil sampailah beliau menawan Gunung Everest, semuanya diceritakan dalam buku ini. Apa yang menariknya, beliau mencuba nasib untuk menawan puncak tertinggi tanpa pengalaman yang luas untuk berada di altitud yang ekstrem. 2 tahun sebelumnya, beliau mengalami kecederaan di bahagian belakang badannya kerana kemalangan payung terjun sewaktu bertugas dengan British Special Air Services. What keeps he going during his rehabilitation process was actually the thought that he would climb the everest. Subhanallah, kalau lah kita juga ada semangat macam ni, insyaAllah perjuangan kita dalam menegakkan agama Allah tidak akan luntur kerana apa yang buatkan kita bersemangat adalah kerana janji Allah terhadap hamba-Nya yang menolong agama-Nya.

BUKAN sukar untuk menghadiahkan senyuman tetapi kita sendiri menyukarkan senyuman itu terpamer di wajah. Hati mana tidak tenang apabila sedang dalam kekusutan, masih lagi boleh tersenyum kepada rakan. Senyuman itu adalah ciptaan indah Allah SWT, malah senyuman juga adalah kuntuman indah yang sentiasa dipersembahkan Rasulullah SAW, manusia sempurna yang patut diteladani segala sifat, sikap dan tingkah

Ada beberapa hal menarik pada diri Baginda SAW yang jarang diungkapkan ramai iaitu mengenai senyumnya. Sepintas lalu, hal itu mungkin nampak kecil dan tidak bererti tetapi apabila dikaji, sebenarnya senyuman Rasulullah SAW memberi impak positif yang sungguh luar biasa. Hikmahnya, banyak kejayaan Rasulullah SAW dalam misinya sebagai penyebar risalah tauhid disebabkan oleh senyuman dan keramahan Baginda.

Charity Week is back in UCC. The idea behind Charity Week is simple; to unify in our efforts to help those in need by raising money and awareness for orphans across the world.

The Prophet (pbuh) said:
“I and the caretaker of the orphan will enter Paradise together like this, raising (by way of illustration) his forefinger and middle finger jointly, leaving no space in between.” [Sahih al-Bukhari]

MCS will organize a bucket collection at our booth in UCC Main Campus. Details of the event is as follows

Time : 10.00am – 4.00pm

Venue : UCC Main Campus and Brookfielf Health Science Center

Please come and visit our booth today in support of our effort to make the life of the orphans through out the world so much better. We have food selling, charity t-shirt for only Euro 5, bucket collection, charity movie screening and so much more.

Some facts of today’s orphans
* 150 million orphans

* 8% of all children are orphans

* 42,200 children are orphaned every day

* 10.6 million (8%) of all children will die of preventable
causes before age five

* 5.4% of all children will die before age one

Why not help someone improve their life and inshallah you will see and feel the rewards in your own.

Everyone is requested to take part and get as many people involved as possible.

Speaker: Ustadh Uthman Lateef

Ustadh Uthman Lateef has a BA (Hons) in History, an MA (Dist) in Crusader Studies, an MPhil and is currently completing a PhD on The Place of Fada’il al-Quds (The Merits of Jerusalem) & Religious Poetry in the Muslim effort to recapture Jerusalem during the Crusades. He holds an Isobel Thornley Fellowship from the Institute of Historical Research. He is also partly teaching the Crusades and Eastern Mediterranean, 1095-1291 undergraduate course.

Uthman Lateef is currently the joint khateeb (sermoniser) at Stoke Poges Lane Mosque and Islamic centre, Slough. He has delivered talks in dozens of universities for many years including Aston University, University of Birmingham, University of Manchester, Nottingham Trent University, Newcastle University, SOAS, Royal Holloway University, Queen Mary University, University College of London, Cardiff University, University of East London, Goldsmiths University among many others. He is a renowned speaker that is known for his academic qualifications in history.. He is the director of the Hittin institute and is also an instructor for Tayyibun Institute for the teachings of Qur’an & Sunnah and Al-Wasatiyyah Foundation for Research & Revival.
