Sometimes, I need to be a verbal ninja

You don’t want to act like a ‘verbal’ ninja. Your heart, however, kept pounding hard; you can feel the blood-rush. Before you explode, better kick the ‘fella’ responsible for the whole mess (imaginary). Gosh!! Just another day of looking at the same rubbish- and yes, I mean real dirty rubbish.

Cleanliness is much more than outward appearance. It is an all-embracing ethic of sound living. It is also a state of mind and heart that reflects our morals and worship.

Islam places great emphasis on cleanliness, in both its physical and spiritual aspects. On the physical side, Islam requires the Muslim to clean his body, his clothes, his house, and the whole community, and he is rewarded by Allah for doing so. While people generally consider cleanliness a desirable attribute, Islam insists on it, making it an indispensable fundamental of the faith. A muslim is required to be pure morally and spiritually as well as physically. Through the Qur’an and Sunnah Islam requires the sincere believer to sanitize and purify his entire way of life. In the Qur’an, Allah commends those who are accustomed to cleanliness:

“Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.” (2: 222)

In view of the significance of cleanliness in Islam, Muslims should have the highest standard of cleanliness and personal hygiene of all the people in the world. But, it is highly regrettable that the heap of garbage has become an identity of Muslim homes and localities. The Muslim majority areas are marked with unhygienic and unhealthy conditions.

Just look at your own home environment- the bed you sleep in, the kitchen you cooked in, the toilet that you used everyday. If you always have these habits of leaving dirty plates, bowls, pots and everything else around the kitchen area, thinking that ‘oh…. I just gonna leave this here for a while, I’ll come back to this soon’- well, you better reflect your eeman. Because chances are, that dirty plates won’t be clean until the next time you need to use it, which can sometimes be a while. Same goes when you saw that dirty rubbish in the full bin, and have yet to wait for other peoples to throw them outside- although you acknowledged the fact that responsibilities for house chores are to be shared. Worse than that, you even want to justify yourself by giving some OLD LAME excuses, like ‘oh.. I was busy’, ‘sorry, wouldn’t happen again’- yet it did, etc.

What a waste!! If a non-muslim friend make a sudden appearance to your home, he/she might think ‘wow.. this ‘fella’ is messy..’.. and unconsciously, the subject of religion differences between you and him/her became attached with cleanliness. Thus, there you go.. you have just contributed a fitna to Islam. And yet, some of you are leaders.

Remember, that human actions belie partly within our unconscious bound- that is just how we operate in this world. Well, you may recite Quran two or three times a day, you may perform sunnah prayers whenever you can, but if the way you live your life, physically, does not reflect a true Muslim, then I guess you are not yet a TRUE Muslim. Just like Mr. Faimee Erwan wrote in his great article- ‘Blind!’- the first thing he wrote was ‘as of today, let’s talk about us Muslims and the things that we seem to be taking for granted’. I could not agree more.

I am only sincere, purely for Allah’s sake.

alhamdulillah…mnarik btul entry ni…harap2 sume dpt ambil pengajaran ni…jgn lupe amal islami tu merangkumi aspek yg besar dlm hidup kite…bknnye ibadah khusus mcm solat, puasa dan baca alQuran je…jzkk kak izaida…

Wallahua’lam

nice one!

mmg betul..kdg2 kita x sedar…byk benda basic n simple x settle..nway lets improve it..

very true indeed

jazakillahukhair ukhti..insyaallah kita semua boleh ubah paradigma kita kepada paradigam muslim yang sejati..bukan yang hanya cakap jer lebih..

btul2..kdg2 kta amik remeh temeh je bende yg sbenarnya ada impak yg besar dlm hidup kta seharian..walk our talk..:)..jzkk,kak izaida for the reminder

pergghhh makan dalammm entry neh..hmm..btol gak tu kak izaida..”masuklah kamu ke dalam Islam secara keseluruhannya” kan..sbb semua benda yg kta buat, ckp, bende2 sekeliling kta reflect who we are..kebersihan ni bende basic je..tp mungkin terlalu basic smpai dipandang remeh..alhamdulillah peringatan yg baik..semoga sama2 bleh improve~~thanks akak~~*cubit uwais sketttt*

masyaallah..bila baca entry nih pastuh tgk bilik yg bersepah, lantai yg x divacuum, bakul sampah yg x diclearkan, meja yg bersepah, toilet yg kotor, dapur yg berterabur…mmg terasa sungguh..when we are busy we started to take things for granted seperti cleanliness..what a shame of myself..Thankss kak izaida..great reminder..

sama laa kita hamba allah..bila kelam kabut nak kuar bilik je, sbb dah lambat utk ke sekolah, terselit rasa bersalah bila tgk keadaan bilik.Nih kalo org datang melwat bilik di kala diri tiada, mesti terkejut.hahaha..

owh…tapi taklaa seteruk sprti mana yang hamba allah duk describe tuh.~~lalala~~

ana setuju dengan artikel ini. Kadang2 kita naik geram jugak, bile kita kuar jek dari rumah..balik,tandas kotor macam loji, takde orang nak bersihkan, disebabkan terlalu ego, mentang2 datang dari golongan bijak pandai, tiada orang pun yang terdetik untuk membasuh tandas tu. memang benar seperti kak izaida sebut. Kalau solat malam tiap2 hari, baca quran mcm nak pakai microphone, kalau tandas kotor, sampah tak nak buang, Dapur tak pernah nak bersihkan, Pinggan tak basuh buat tak tau jek, ruang tamu kotor buat Dont know jek, kadang2 naik fed up sebab no one bother’s about it.

Iman itu ia menghilangkan rasa ego diri, dan menyenangkan diri untuk melakukan kebaikan dimana2 sahaja tanpa mengira apa sahaja, dari keje sekotor2 basuh loji, hinggalah memimpin negara islam itu sendiri. selagi ada EGO BUSUK GOLONGAN ELIT DAN BIJAK PANDAI, GOLONGAN KAYA DAN UJUB, selagi itulah kita kene persoalkan amalan kita tidak kira seperti Qiyam atau sebagainya.

QIYAMLAH BERIBU2 KALI, BACALAH QURAN SAMPAI KERING TEKAK,persoal iman kita, ‘adakah aku beriman dan ikhlas sebenarnya?’

sekian mesej pedas dari ana. Wallahualam

hahaha..aiiii ayat cover tuh kak saadah~~tp btol laa..bygkanlaa kalo kte masuk satu rumah ni, dapur cam setahun tak basuh, toilet kotor, bilik tdo bersepah..first impression kita ialah “penghuni rumah ni mmg pengotor belaka”..ish3..malunye kita sebagai muslim yg mmg da diajar bahawa kebersihan tu sbhgian drpd hidup..punyelaa petah bcakap depan org..tgk rumah sketttt~~ *trus switch on vacuum n vacuum rumah*

hahaha..betul laa iliana.Rumah Dnur takde laa smpi tahap tuh.Alhamdulillah, buleh terima tetamu bila2 masa.keskes.. *Vacuum bag tuh pon dah penuh sbb asyik vacuum je.Korang la yang bawak smph habuk2 nih.:P*

Salam wbt, nak tambah sedikit komen saadah.
