Pure Happiness?

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Dear readers,

Many times we find ourselves in a situation where all happiness seem to be fleeting away from us. A question was raised about how we can achieve true happiness – the real deep down, honest –to-goodness, sincere true happiness in this world.

True happiness is what that Allah had promised for His servants there in the hereafter, not now in this short lived world. Allah said that the truest success is that of obtaining paradise. What is happiness if not success for one? I can therefore say that those who have that in mind will always work towards pleasing Allah, the only One worth of praises, and in that way they will know that Allah is close to them; with that knowledge in mind, these people will with the will of Allah be peaceful n happy throughout their lives.
For me, a pure sincere happiness is also the one that a person gets while doing something that he/she likes which brings peace to his mind, body and soul. What actually troubles our mind I find so far, are the perceptions of man. What man sees as valuable is the one that other men consider as valuable. Look at our money for instance, what are they if not useless papers if others consider it to be valueless? Trying to satisfy men’s perceptions will never end and this hard work of eternity is the one that usually brings people down.

Ya ayyuhal ikhwah,

What if once and for all, we put the ultimate objective of life, of our creation foremost in our lives? Won’t it be a lot easier and better with the knowledge that Allah is always there to guide and help us, and the fact that he is just and knows that we are trying our best to reach the goal He has created for us, won’t that be good enough to make us content with our lives?

Once we are free from humans’ perceptions and bind ourselves with Allah’s sole perception and only consider that in our pitiful hearts, then only I think we will get the ultimate happiness.
Can’t we learn from others who have almost nothing in their lives but are still able to prepare dates and tea for others who come to the visitors of ‘Allah’s houses’ and the hardships that our Prophet Muhammad pbuh had gone through while he was alive but he had managed to overcome the sadness and sorrow that many of us never ever traversed before and build upon them, fruits of success that even we can enjoy today?

Haven’t we learnt from the past and the present? Aren’t we blinded by our short sightedness? What is there in life if we only try to achieve things that we know will one day perish and help us not even a single moment when we face the Lord to whom we have pledged our vow to surrender ourselves to, live and die solely for Him? Won’t it be very chaotic and terribly disdainful upon us if we are to face the One who has given us everything while asking nothing in return even though we backstab Him? Won’t it be so gravely troubling to find ourselves facing the One who has been reminding us all the time about the moment that we are facing at that stage and always waiting for us to get back to Him when we know that we did what he told us not to and live the lives that he granted us for the things that no longer exist? Won’t it be so stupid to find ourselves facing the One who has created us when we know we have wronged Him tremendous times while knowing that He is Oft Watchful of those we are doing and knows everything that we proclaim and hide?

Ya ayyuhal ikhwah jamian,

We were created not to be happy with our lives, but we were created to be sad of the things that we sinned. Why then do you all think Rasulullah taught us to always think of death and be wary as well as prepared for it? It worried not Rasulullah that his ummah is tried with troubles but he is scared if we are tried with delicacies and prosperity. Isn’t happiness one of the foundations of prosperity?
Let me ask the readers one question: O my brothers/sisters, how many a time when you were happy did you remember Allah and how many a time when you were sad did you remember Allah? I may justly say that many of us will agree to the latter option. So now, will we still say that we prefer to seek for happiness instead of being sad?
Numerous times people opt for indulgence in hedonism to seek for happiness but they ALWAYS bring more sadness to them. Encompassing ourselves with fun and entertainment brings no real joy to the heart; worse, it detaches us from the link that enjoins us with our Lord and the truest of happiness. Unfortunately, many of us fall into that pit that traps and intoxicates those within.
My fellow readers,

Isn’t Allah sufficient to bring happiness to us? Isn’t the One that created EVERYTHING we desire enough to bring happiness to us? Isn’t the One that promised He is near to those who serve Him and also guarantees that He never breaks His promise enough to bring us happiness? How longer and farther must we search for an answer when it has already been given to us? How much longer must we continue deluding ourselves?

‘wa laing syakartum la aziidannakum wa laing kafartum inna azzabi lasyadiid’ [and if u are grateful, I will indeed add more (of my rahmah) to u; and if u are ungrateful, (remember that) indeed my punishment is terribly grave]. O my brothers and sisters, I now leave for you to decide tallying with how Allah leaves us to decide our fates. May Allah always guide us in our decisions and may we join the righteous and the triumphant. Wallahu a’lam bis sowab.

jzkk kepada akhi mawhus

i just want to add one point in your qoute

‘how many a time when you were happy did you remember Allah and how many a time when you were sad did you remember Allah?’

i still remember one good lesson that i learnt from PUISI 2007

‘gunakanlah kelemahan diri kamu itu untuk mendekati Allah, dan gunakanlah kekuatan dirimu itu untuk membantu orang, sesungguhnya ia nya bukan hak kita, ia adalah hak ALLAH SWT’

good reminder from akhi mawhus .. tak sangka pandai menulis ..

semoga menjadi manfaat kepada semua penbaca ..

yeah,,,simply true

Jazakallah for the post. Hopefully this will be a reminder to us all about the true meaning of this life. Aiming to be a successful people means that we aim to be successful in the Hereafter not in this current world per se. Thus we must take the chances to make sure that we’ll be included by Allah among the successful Mu’min. Wallahua’alam.

“We were created not to be happy with our lives, but we were created to be sad of the things that we sinned.”
ZAPP..masyaallah Rabbul Jalil..makan dalam kejap.Bermakna sungguh ayat tuh bagi orang2 yang berfikir.
Tiada kegembiraan tanpa keredhaan Allah.
Wallahua’lam..saling mengingati laa sesame kita.
Jzkk atas a very deep good reminder~~MOga Allah melimpahkan rahmatNya pada akhi atas usaha peringatan ini.

simply true

salam alaikum.jazzakumullahu khoiron jazza for all of ur comments.barakallahu fikum.i do hope that we not only realise and awoken just for awhile because the lives we are leading are forever shortening.either we move now or suffer the uncertainty(death) that awaits us every second.may i remember what i wrote and take action too.ma’assalamah

Happiness isn’t a goal,it’s a by-product.Once you have fulfilled the purpose of your creation, you’ll get the happiness even without asking for it.
